The Magic of Light

When the nights are dark, garden lighting is one of the most effective ways of improving the look and functionality of your outdoor space and increases the time you can appreciate the natural extension of your home.

Properly placed lighting can create the most wonderful ambience by silhouetting trees, highlighting favourite shrubs or by reflecting light from water in your water feature.  Garden lighting is also beneficial for illuminating paths, driveways and other entrances.

Lighting adds warmth to your garden in winter, particularly by using coloured lights which can add softness or, if you prefer, bright striking colours creating contrast.

Lighting has moved on a long way from the occasional wall lantern or path lights and there are so many lights on the market to choose from.

Solar lighting is a great option for easy installation and without the need for a plug.  Solar lights have progressed over the years and can be a great alternative to wired lighting.

Safety is always an important factor when adding external lighting to your garden, appropriate all weather cables and sockets should be used along with a qualified electrician.
