Gravel Garden Driveways

Always popular due to being attractive, cost effective, durable and relatively easy to maintain.

There are many different colours and types of gravel available to complement your property or existing landscaping.

Maintenance

Gravel driveways can be easily maintained with an occasional rake to re-distribute gravel and to remove leaves and other debris.

Any weeds should be regularly removed by hand or with spot weedkiller.

Block Paving

Mono block paving is a popular and decorative choice for a driveway that can add real kerb appeal to your home. It not only provides an attractive and enhanced entrance to your property, but is practical, hard wearing and easy to clean.

There are a wide variety of blocks available from setts in natural stone such as sandstone or granite, to contemporary porcelain and concrete options in a wide variety of shapes, colours and textures. Blocks can be laid in a variety of patterns and colours to give a unique look to your driveway.

Geo-textile membrane, compacted hardcore and a screed of sand or crushed stone will be laid before the blocks are installed in the chosen pattern.

Maintenance

Mono block driveways are very hard wearing and can withstand heavy usage. They can be easily maintained with an occasional sweep or light power wash. Any damaged blocks can usually be easily replaced.

Weeds or moss can sometimes grow in the gaps between the blocks and should be removed regularly. Keeping the driveway free of dirt, debris and leaves will help to prevent weeds and moss from becoming established.

Resin Bound Gravel

Resin bound gravel is becoming an increasingly popular choice for driveways. Available in a huge range of colours to suit every taste, resin bound gravel provides a stylish finish to complement any property.

Coloured aggregates are mixed with polyurethane resin to form a permeable surface which allows water to drain naturally through the finished surface.

Geo-textile membrane, compacted hardcore and a screed of concrete will be laid before applying the resin bound gravel. This installation must be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions by a qualified contractor to provide a driveway that will last many years.

Maintenance

Resin bound gravel provides a smooth, strong, highly durable and attractive surface requiring very little maintenance. Weeds cannot grow through the surface and an occasional sweep or hose down will keep the driveway looking good.
