New Build Garden, Newbridge
This project took place in garden of a new build house. It was a sloping garden but also a blank canvas.
Consultation & Concept
The garden was a good sized blank canvas at a new build property in Newbridge. The garden sloped away from the house.
The client wanted an attractive garden to be designed for low maintenance but with areas for planting favourite trees and shrubs.
A design drawing was produced together with a planting plan.
Garden Features
Our design incorporated:-
- Charcoal composite decking for good looks and ease of maintenance
- Grey sandstone paving at house and lower patio area
- Retaining walls to form planter, faced with stone to match property.
- Gravel areas in a variety of textures and colours, including plum slate and beach pebbles
- Artificial lawn for durability and to be dog friendly
- Mature shrubs to add structure and immediate impact.

Completed Garden Project
This blank canvas was transformed into a garden with interesting levels, colours and features.
Modern materials such as composite decking and artificial lawn were chosen to create an attractive, practical and low maintenance garden.
The planter and borders provide plenty of areas for colourful shrubs and plants. Grasses in the gravel areas and climbers on fences also add year round interest.
Just after completion of the project, the client asked us to add a large arch over the steps leading to the lower level. This brought both softness and height to the garden as a perfect finishing touch.
I cannot express how delighted I am with my beautiful garden! The team were outstanding from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble to them. They arrived promptly every morning and left the side clean and tidy at the end of the day. They were a pleasure to have around. I am now in the process of choosing plants for the borders and cannot wait to see how the garden matures in the coming years.
