Landscaping Project - Auchterarder

This garden re-design took us to Auchterarder and this project arose from completing a garden project for the client’s neighbour.

Consultation & Concept

The client was keen to create a lower maintenance garden making it much more manageable.  Some of the existing paving was uneven, so our brief was to replace the existing paths around the property along with the patio area at the rear.

The existing garden at the rear was laid in turf and various shrub borders, it was agreed to remove these and to build a sandstone retaining wall, this would then create a level area to introduce a sandstone path to lead from the rear garden to the side of the property.

Garden Features

We formed a sandstone path leading to a sandstone patio area which included a 2 x ring sandstone circle edged with tegula block, creating a secluded place to sit.

The steps were re formed and we later organised our blacksmith to produce wrought iron handrails, presenting both good looks and practicality.

We then replaced the existing patio area at the rear of the property and existing paths around the property with natural sandstone. Finally 20 mm gravel was laid in the surrounding areas and borders, the boundary fence was refreshed with a lick of paint.

Project Duration:  3 weeks
