Perthshire Project - Blairgowrie

We travelled to Blairgowrie, in Perthshire, for a project involving the landscaping of a large rear garden and the installation of a summer house and patio.

Our brief was to update our clients' garden - adding style and character with a number of attractive features.

The existing garden consisted of a large stretch of empty lawn so we began by constructing winding gravel pathways, edged with tegula kerb, leading towards the rear. We filled the pathways with Douglasmuir quartz gravel and, to add character, placed timber pergolas, with tegula block insets, at intervals along their length.

The gravel pathways led between planting beds to a side access gate, and on to a picturesque summer house which was incorporated into an octant patio built from Heritage calder brown stone. We placed timber privacy panels around the new patio and, as an ornate finishing touch, erected a highfield arch entrance to the area.

Our work transformed a flat, unremarkable outdoor space into a captivating and beautiful garden bursting with colour and character.
