What is involved in a landscaping project?

Following a site visit, you should receive an estimate* for the work from your chosen landscaping contractor.

Once the scope and price for your project are agreed and accepted, you should agree on definite dates for the work to be carried out.

The dates, price and payment terms should be clearly stated in a contract between you and the landscaping contractor before work commences.

The landscaping contractor will order materials for your project along with any large equipment required such as a mini digger, dumper etc.

Skip(s) will be ordered to remove any waste materials from the site as work progresses.

The site will be cleared as necessary and any excavation work carried out. Construction work would be carried out first with any turfing, gravelling or planting taking place at the end of the project.

Gardens Galore project manage sites to ensure that everything arrives at the right time and stage. Our landscaping teams are polite and hard-working. They will leave the site clean and tidy each evening.

*At Gardens Galore, if you accept our estimate, we will reserve agreed dates for you and 6 weeks prior to your scheduled project, we will check and if necessary, update the estimate, to provide you with a firm quotation. When you are ready to proceed, you will be given a written contract with details of dates, costs and payment schedule, so there are no surprises and everything is set out clearly in writing.
