Gravelling

Whether using gravel for decoration, easy maintenance borders, paths or a driveway, gravel proves a popular choice today.

There is so much choice in a variety of textures and colours, the range of decorative gravels on the market is endless, choose to tie in with your property and surroundings or create a real contrast.

  • Use crushed slate or granite and plant a mix of grasses to create an easy maintenance garden space
  • Paving can be used to break up gravel and creates an attractive contrast
  • Tie in a paving circle with gravel inlays providing an interesting feature with a mix of textures and colour

When preparing for laying gravel we always grade and level the area and lay a membrane to keep weeds at bay. Gravel is then carefully laid to the specified depth.

We are happy to offer advice and ideas and will provide samples, helping you to make the right choice.

Customer testimonial

"Gardens Galore recently spent twelve days ripping out all of our old paving and old lawn and transformed our garden into a real showpiece. We are overjoyed. We now have a large area of Indian sandstone, edged borders, rose quartz gravel, new turf and a large raised bed. The real show stopper is an amazing curved staircase up to our kitchen doors. Incorporated into the design is some established plants. The effect is amazing. The staff that reconstructed our garden were nice and cheery with a pleasant manner, they worked hard and worked very tidily. Our neighbours even commented on this. The design they worked to really fits our house and setting. The Company also stuck to agreed dates. We cannot compliment Gardens Galore enough. We are happy to recommend them for any job, large or small. They do what they promise."
