Award Winning Landscaping - Scone

Our clients asked us to re design and landscape the rear garden, creating a low maintenance garden and introducing a patio area for sitting, relaxing or entertaining.

The client's brief was to create an easy maintenance garden to enjoy in their retirement along with the introduction of some well needed seating areas.

The existing garden was mainly laid in turf and had a slope to the rear.

Two level areas were formed with a retaining wall built using Fairstone walling.  Seating areas and paths were created using Fairstone sandstone autumn bronze paving with sandstone steps leading from one level to the next. Plant borders were created and each infilled with contrasting gravels which included plum crushed slate, beach pebbles and rose quartz which both complemented the paving and helped to break up the garden

Completed Project

The finished project brought real shape to the garden with sweeping walls and steps leading up to the newly formed patio area.  The choice of materials complemented the property and the mix of gravels with the natural sandstone walling and paving worked well.

This landscaping project won an Award from the Marshalls Register of Approved Landscapers for “Best use of ethically sourced Fairstone paving".
